Life Lesson: The Wonder of Slow

We live in a world that values newer, faster and better.

But, I’m here to say; older and slower has its benefits.

In celebration of my dad’s 92nd birthday, we had lunch at Le Garage in Sausalito.

He loves the sea and the restaurant is casual and right along the water.

I’ve eaten at this restaurant numerous times with friends.

My MO is park, eat and dash.

But, in the company of my dad — who does not dash at 92 — everything slows down.

Together we discovered a beach ten steps from the restaurant.

A beach that I never knew existed.

Though it was his birthday, I received a gift that day.

Slow down, look around, explore, you never know what wonderful surprises await you.
